Burns started her career in television in 1995 portraying the supporting character Peg from the Spanish-American teen sitcom Out of the Blue (1995-1996). Later, she starred in Baywatch: Hawaii, the sequel to the Baywatch action-packed series. Burns left Baywatch due to her first pregnancies.
